2009 was the year of Girls, a duo led by Christopher Owen (formerly Holy Shit) and his long hair, accompanied by drummer Chet JR White. The cause lightning to an album that has to do the splits between sixties pop and guitars nineties, an album simply called ... Album . Girls also had the merit of awakening a California pop scene that was later with uninhibited the emergence of Best Coast, Dum Dum Girls or Wavves. It was therefore natural to expect a sequel to that first album . The EP Broken Dreams Club is timely for two California before the release of a second album scheduled for next year.
