An international exhibition shows always a technical civilization modern, providing elements that fit into the story of a city. From this perspective lies the Italy Pavilion. The building is surrounded by a wall that evokes the Italian walled towns but also the Arab architecture of Seville. A large area (90m x 50m) is enveloped in a dense and regular that acts as a filter, protecting the exhibition space from the noise of city traffic. This expressive structure begins with an arcade running along the two main facades, with openings to look inside. On each small facades, a waterfall visible from the inside.
The building itself is inside the wall and is reflected in a pond. The entries are highlighted by four towers and a umbraculum (glass roof that provides shade). Visitors enter the pavilion by a gently sloping walkway, crossing the water, the leads to the heart of the building in the central gallery.
